It was a FANTASTIC weekend for the Sescheke family, as Teddy (UK CH Sonstraal Gabe's Prospect At Sescheke J.W. Sh.CM) won his Open Dog class out of a large entry and he then went on to win the Dog Challenge Certificate. I was delighted as this is Teddy's 4th C.C.!!! Quickly after Teddy had won the C.C. I rushed to get Teddy's beautiful daughter, Marnie (Sescheke's Acting Miss Sassy) into the ring, this being her first show and a very special day for my mum, aunt Jo and I. I was absolutely delighted with Marnie's performance in the ring, she excelled, also qualifying for CRUFTS 2010 on her FIRST outing! Marnie won her first puppy class and then challenged the dog puppy winner for Best Puppy In Breed, which she won!!! Our precious Phoebe done us proud as she is no longer with us now due to tragic circumstances... I would like to thank our judge Mrs Zena Thorn-Andrews for making this a very special day for my mum, aunt Jo & myself and for her complementary feedback on both my lovely dogs... Teddy's Critique: A good class. 1 Boyd, Rossiter & Fox’s Ch Sonstraal Gabe’s Prospect at Sescheke, smart, sound & easy mover, good extension, pleasing broad skull, good length of muzzle. Ridge could be longer. Excellent topline & slope over muscular loin & croup, well set & carried tail. Looks very athletic. CC Marnie's Critique: 1 Boyd’s Sescheke’s Acting Miss Sassy, super puppy, well grown, excellent bone & thick tight feet, clean head & cheeks, nice to go over. Needs to flow into her hind angulation which is a touch excessive. Good crowns. Ridge a little short. Very true & easy action, so promising & has quality. BP

OD (7,1) 1 Rossiter, Fox & Boyd’s Sonstraal Gabe’s Prospect at Sesheke, loved this dog as a junior & he has fulfilled that promise, up to size, beautifully balanced mid wheaten, masculine, well balanced head, dark expressive eyes giving good expression, clean well shaped scull, deep powerful muzzle, superb shapely neck flowing into correct shoulders, strong bone, gun barrel front, deep well padded feet, well filled forechest, ribcage is very deep & capacious & carried well back, strong broad loin, good length from hip to buttock bone giving good width to hindquarters, excellent muscletone, very good bend of stifle into low set hock with well defined hock joint, absolutely accurate coming to me, sound going away with good width between the hocks, effortless ground covering profile action with correct daisy cutting forehand extension & powerful drive from quarters. ~ R.R. Judge - Mr A Littlejohn ~ This was Teddy's (Sonstraal Gabe's Prospect At Sescheke J.W. Sh.CM) first show of 2009 where he had a great day, taking 1st in a large R.R. Open class and then being awarded Best of Breed. Teddy then went on to compete in the Hound group under a different judge... ~ Hound Group Judge - Mrs G Lawless ~ Teddy was awarded Hound Group 2!!! We were pleased to see that Teddy (Sonstraal Gabe's Prospect At Sescheke J.W. Sh.CM) came TOP 5th Rhodesian Ridgeback in the UK for 2008, with his two half sisters Rooa (Rumaruti Rather 'B' Rabbiting) and Fudge (Sonstraal Christmas Eve At Kazval J.W.) joint top 4th!!! We would like to thank all the judges who thought so highly of Teddy throughout 2008 and to fellow exhibitors for their ongoing support...

Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Scotland A.G.M., 15th of Feburary 2009 I attended the R.R.C.S A.G.M, where I was awarded the 'Scottish Rhodesian Ridgeback Award' trophy for Teddy's (Sonstraal Gabe's Prospect At Sescheke J.W. Sh.CM) achievements in Scotland throughout 2008, where he was successful both at Championship and Open shows. Teddy also picked up another trophy, 'The Jay Trophy', which is normally only won by champions! However, Teddy won this on his outstanding achievements throughout 2008, (HOUND GROUP 2, to say the least!).

I appologise for the late updates, as my exams took priority! Myself, Sharon and Anthea, would like to thank all the judges for giving us such a memorable year 2008, with Teddy being 1 of 3 Rhodesian Ridgebacks to have been placed in the Hound Group at championship show level him being the only Male Rhodesian Ridgeback of 2008 to be placed in the Hound Group (Group 2)... What an achievement!!! Teddy began the year winning BEST IN MATCH out of a large entry at the Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Grand Challenge Match, the same month he also went RESERVE BEST IN SHOW at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Scotland. It was not long after Teddy won his first Challenge Certificate and Best Of Breed, going all the way taking HOUND GROUP 2, at Paignton Championship show!!! Teddy also picked up 3 Reserve Challenge Certificates throughout 2008. Teddy has also enjoyed many successes at open show level, winning many group placings etc. as well as championship show level. Taking all into account Teddy has achieved all this at the young and tender age of just 2 and a bit!!! 2008 has been an eventful year for the Sescheke Kennel and Teddy has surpassed all our expectations... (WELL DONE TO MY BEST BOY 'Teddy') I would like to thank again judges and fellow exhibitors for their on going support...
